Smudge

This stunningly beautiful joey came to us from the Flinders Rangers, sadly his mum had been shot but thankfully he was found and was handed into the local wildlife carer. He is a sweet and friendly little boy although he is still understandably a bit scared and nervous but with his friendly disposition it will not take him long to start to trust us.

All red kangaroos have individual white marking on their nose that is unique to each one, just like our finger prints are to us, but they are not usually quite as showy as Smudge's is. He is also a very talkative young man and makes sure he tells us that it is almost bottle time. We have a Western Grey joey Sampson, who is not much bigger than him so we are hoping that these two will become good mates.
